ImageWith a Global Recession upon our doorsteps, we need to secure our own finances that will make our lives and our family's as straight forward as possible.  If you have credit debt you should really work to reduce debt quickly so you have the confidence to reach your goals and live your life.

One step in that direction is to get your house in order and know where you are at.  Listed below are a few links that provide a free and easy perspective on where you stand in your financial hemisphere and guide you in where you need to be.

  • Comeback Calculator - Find out how long it will take your stocks to rebound to their peak levels using information based on its current value, annual return % and peak value.  I was almost scared to look but it did provide a good perspective.
  • Free Personal Finance - Money Manager Ex primarily helps organize one's finances and keeps track of where, when and how the money goes.  It is also a great tool to get a bird's eye view of your financial worth.
  • Debt Payoff Calculator - Bankrate.com puts it into black and white how much money you are wasting away when you pay the minimum amount.    It's an eye-opener but also gives you a perspective if you want to pay more than the minimum amount.
  • AnnualCreditReport:   Get a free credit report to see where you stand. Since 2003, the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act has made it possible for individuals to obtain one free annual credit report from each of the three major credit reporting agencies per year.
